Is all MARPE treatment the same?
The MARPEFACE protocol was designed to highlight a specific approach to the development of facial structure and the orthodontic treatment of anatomical factors related to the development of Obstructive Sleep Apnea.
The MARPEFACE protocol, developed by Dr. Svitlana Koval, features three distinct characteristics:
- Development of the facial structure with increased “fullness” of the facial features.
- Mandibular advancement through orthodontic means, primarily using the unique Shape Memory Aligner protocol.
- Combination of the above, promoting a signature facial shape with prominent and balanced cheekbones and a harmonious facial profile.
Our observations show positive outcomes in:
- Treating skin laxity in the infraorbital area
- Improving nasal breathing
- Enhancing sleep quality
These results are attributed to changes in facial structure and jaw alignment.
